Colvis Technologies — The Talents Initiative

Your church. Your ministry.
Your app. My gift.

A gift of what I know how to build, in service of what your church is called to do. I’m Aaron, the person behind Colvis Technologies and The Talents Initiative. I help churches connect with their communities through practical, accessible technology.

Entrusted to me. Shared with others.

Faithfulness begins
with what I have.

Read Matthew 25:14–30

In Jesus’ parable of the talents, a master entrusts his servants with different amounts of wealth before leaving on a journey. Two put what they receive to work; a third buries his portion out of fear. When the master returns, he calls them to account and commends the faithful servants.

A “talent” in the story is a large sum of money. For me, the parable is also an invitation to faithful stewardship: to use the skills, time, and opportunities God has entrusted to me in service of others.

My response is The Talents Initiative. I can build useful technology. Churches are already doing the work of ministry. This is one way I can place what I have in their hands.

A glimpse of what’s possible

A place to belong.
Beyond Sunday.

Watch the church app demo: a glimpse of Scripture, community, events, and messages brought together in one place.

This is an illustrative demo, not a guaranteed feature list. Integrations shown, including Planning Center, require separate setup and may have third-party fees. Your church and I agree on the standard app scope together.

The demo opens with 1 Corinthians 3:6 and introduces a sample church home screen. It shows a pastor’s message, Bible reading, prayer, the Church Wall, invitations and introductions, a calendar, church leaders, ministry life, photos, and sermon access. It also shows a Planning Center integration concept. A closing letter introduces the gift of church app development and notes third-party costs, followed by Mark 16:15. These examples illustrate possibilities; the scope and support for each church are agreed before work begins.

A practical gift. Clear expectations.

Made for ministry.
Built with care.

01 / The gift

A standard church app

I provide standard church app development and licensing at no charge. I discuss your needs with you, including service information, announcements, events, sermon links, and ways to connect, then agree on the included features before work begins.

02 / The costs

Your accounts.
Clear ownership.

Your church pays third-party operating expenses directly, such as Firebase or other hosting, a domain, app store accounts where needed, and any selected email or messaging services. Costs vary with usage and providers; free tiers are not a promise of free operation. I review the expected services and costs with you before you commit.

03 / The approach

AI-free by default

The standard app starts with dependable church features, without AI subscriptions or AI features. The aim is to keep the experience understandable and the ongoing costs manageable.

04 / The boundaries

A scope I can honor

Availability, timing, launch assistance, maintenance responsibilities, and any ongoing support are agreed in advance. Unlimited support, custom integrations, and future feature requests are not automatically included. Any work outside the agreed standard scope is discussed separately, with no obligation to proceed.
